Brain-Machine Interface

Another article from September 2011, a few months before the one I referenced here and others like it. This one is about taking data from the brain, having it analyzed and manipulated in a machine, and putting it back in the brain. The experiment is on rats and a simple one (so far).

In case it isn’t clear, yeah, I sometimes think some of this is retreading stuff already done in secret. Note that the study from the 90s assumed fifty years before uploading knowledge to the brain electronically. Happening much faster it seems. The technical singularity looming?

Wonder what happens to what was there before the upload?
