End of the Dream

Just ran across this linked within another article that’s blaming TV for an increase in violence and general sociopathic tendencies.

Uh-huh. It’s TV because you know TV’s only been around for a few years. (Subliminals on the other hand…)

Anyway, it’s right out of Infernis, (which by the way there’s a new brief chapter for.)

The author notes:

Way too many Americans seem to be losing all sense of what is right and what is wrong. Way too many Americans seem to be losing all sense of what it means to treat others with dignity and respect. Yes, the economy is falling apart and people are feeling the stress of hard times, but it goes much deeper than that. It is almost as if some sort of mental illness is spreading throughout our society that is expressing itself in thousands of different ways. We are seeing anger, rage, malice and brutality rise to very dangerous levels. Our population has become way too greedy, proud, selfish and hateful. America is on a very dangerous road and we need to wake up.

Now, if it were an engineered pathogen, or an electronic device, who would be capable of developing and using it? And why?

You get: population reduction, people more apt to support and join wars and security forces for the pure pleasure of killing and beating, you get excuses to crack down and receive lucratuve contracts. *

That all goes in one direction. Capabilities and motive. Together.

Something in the defense sector.

Here’s an oldie, the brain’s moral compass, capable of being disrupted and controlled with magnets.

* Of course you also get a rape epidemic in the military, but who cares? We can just magnet empathy away.
