Bulger once volunteered for a secret CIA program studying the effects of LSD on humans and now the I-Team has obtained a notebook in which Whitey wrote down his thoughts and fears about taking the mind altering drug.

While in federal prison for bank robbery in the late 1950’s and early 1960’s, Bulger volunteered to take part in the covert CIA program called MK-ULTRA in exchange for time off from his sentence.

The Stanford Research Institute received CIA funding, and Dr. Melges published work about using drugs and hypnosis to create “disassociative states,” i.e., induced schizophrenia. One of Melges’ partners on these experiments was a doctor named Leo E. Hollister, who first dosed Ken Kesey with LSD as part of an Army experiment in 1960. He later admitted to author John Marks that he conducted drug research for the CIA. Marks’ 1979 book, “The Search for the Manchurian Candidate,” contains numerous such revelations about other government researchers.

In other words, the doctor who cared for Lang in Santa Clara was a senior figure at one of the CIA’s top institutional grantees.

Some of the examples of the books distributed by USAID clearly show the US policy agenda: “If out of 10 atheists, 5 are killed by 1 Muslim, 5 would be left. 5 guns + 5 guns = 10 guns; 15 bullets – 10 bullets = 5 bullets, etc.” (Stephens and Ottoway, 2002). OREGON SHOOTING

What came out of it? Guess.

The drug lobby is pushing for more drugs to “fix” our shooter problem:

Joe Khalil, “Issue of Mental Health Part of National Discourse Again Following Oregon College Shooting,” Fox 40 Sacramento, 2 October 2015:

http://fox40.com/2015/10/02/issue-of-mental-health-part-of-national-discourse-again-following-oregon-college-shooting/

Despite the obvious in some/not all cases, but especially Columbine, that some of these people were well-drugged at the time they went postal:

Dan Roberts, “Every Mass Shooting Shares One Thing In Common & It’s NOT Weapons,” Ammoland, 1 April 2013:

Eric Harris age 17 (first on Zoloft then Luvox) and Dylan Klebold aged 18 (Columbine school shooting in Littleton, Colorado), killed 12 students and 1 teacher, and wounded 23 others, before killing themselves. Klebold’s medical records have never been made available to the public.

http://www.ammoland.com/2013/04/every-mass-shooting-in-the-last-20-years-shares-psychotropic-drugs/

Supporters of the drug lobby are pushing for more gun control:

Matt Vespa, “Obama Says Gun Violence ‘Is Something We Should Politicize’ In Statement about Oregon Shooting,” Townhall, 1 October 2015:

http://townhall.com/tipsheet/mattvespa/2015/10/01/obama-says-gun-control-is-something-we-should-politicize-at-oregon-shooting-presser-n2059996

And supporters of the gun lobby are pooh-poohing drugs and calling for more guns to protect ourselves from the crazies:

David Edwards, “Less than 90 minutes after Oregon shooting, CNN analyst suggests school’s ‘gun free zone’ to blame,” Rawstory, 1 October 2015:

http://www.rawstory.com/2015/10/less-than-90-minutes-after-oregon-shooting-cnn-analyst-suggests-schools-gun-free-zone-to-blame/

Less than two hours after massacre at Umpqua Community College on Thursday, CNN military analyst Rick Francona suggested that the shooter had chosen the location because it was a gun free zone.

Note that this is a win-win situation for our criminal elite: More guns or drugs = more kickbacks; less guns and drugs means more control since only cops and mercenaries will be armed and more “crazies” for all of us to fear so we’ll be begging armed sadists to protect us. More drugs means they can ignore your opinions because there’s something wrong with you or you’d agree with their greedy warmongering actions. Perfect recipe for fascism no matter how you slice it.

CIA

Additionally, the 3-D chess move that really gives away CIA’s involvement with the shooting, regards 4Chan, one of those places where members of anonymous would hang out because literally everyone who uses it is anonymous except for the administrator.

Jason Silverstein, Larry Mcshane, Nancy Dillon, “Madman kills nine, injures seven after shooting at Umpqua Community College in Oregon,” NY Daily News, 2 October 2015:

http://www.nydailynews.com/news/national/shooting-oregon-umpqua-community-college-article-1.2381711

Several message boards noted the shooter may have revealed his plans Wednesday night, in posts on the website 4chan.

“Some of you guys are alright. Don’t go to school tomorrow if you are in the northwest,” one post reads.

“happening thread will be posted tomorrow morning…so long space robots…Will post again in the am. 10 min countdown. Won’t say more to much to prepare (sic)”

4Chan is therefore a government target due to association with Anonymous.

And let’s not forget the sockpuppets. Recall again NTrepid’s system reported on by Barrett Brown:

Patrick McGuire, “Why Is Barrett Brown Facing 100 Years in Prison?,” Vice, 31 January 2013:

http://www.vice.com/en_ca/read/why-is-barrett-brown-facing-100-years-in-jail

Alongside Abraxas and Cubic on those tax filings is another company called Ntrepid. According to Florida State’s records of corporations, Richard Helms is the director of that company. In 2011, Barrett’s work helped lead the Guardian to their report that Ntrepid won a $2.76 million-dollar contract from Centcom (U.S. Central Command), to create “online persona management” software, also known as “sockpuppetry.” To break it down in plain English, online persona management was created to populate social networks with a bunch of fake and believable social media personas to “influence internet conversations and spread pro-American propaganda.”

Ntrepid also has a product they call Tartan, that’s detailed in this internal presentation hosted by the Wall Street Journal. In Ntrepid’s own parlance, they describe Tartan as a program that can “Analyze illicit organizations and less structured social networks by identifying: Ranks of influence within human networks… [and can] end the use of [online] aliases.” Clearly they are looking to dismantle the smoke and mirrors that groups like Anonymous maintain, by hanging out in chatrooms where they do not need to identify themselves officially, with many private communications happening at once. This creates a difficult to penetrate den, where people can easily hide online. Evidently, Ntrepid is seeking to pull all of that apart with Tartan.

What they really mean is

1} Create phony online consensus as a means of creating peer pressure in order to achieve the goals of the Deep State/military industrial complex.

2} To identify whistleblowers so that the criminal elite can continue manipulating and stealing without hiccups.

Let’s get something clear. The purpose of the 2nd amendment was never for hunting, nor was it for protecting your home from burglars. It was always to prevent illegal seizure of your property by the government, as a check on Congress’ standing army in case tyranny should take over. At the time British soldiers were well in the minds of the framers. They had taken over homes as if they owned them, much like the House of Saud does in its own country. And, like how Blackwater behaved during Sandy:

Jamie Wilson, “Mercenaries Guard Homes of the Rich in New Orleans,” Guardian, 12 September 2005:

http://www.theguardian.com/world/2005/sep/12/hurricanekatrina.usa

What they leave out is how they broke into homes, threw furniture in the street, and set up headquarters and sleeping quarters wherever they damn well pleased.

Jeremy Scahill, “Overkill: Feared Blackwater Mercenaries Deploy in New Orleans,” DemocracyNow, 12 September 2005:

http://www.democracynow.org/2005/9/12/overkill_feared_blackwater_mercenaries_deploy_in

Yes, that’s right. And they also alleged that they had been deputized. And another key point is that these Blackwater guys said that they were given the authority to use lethal force, as well as the power to make arrests. And when we asked them about this use of them in the United States, they said that they believe that we’re going to see a lot more of this and that this is a trend. So, I think that this is a very, very disturbing development that we are seeing here on the streets of New Orleans, Amy.

And let’s not forget the unconfirmed words of the American Sniper:

Terrence McCoy, “The ‘unverifiable’ legacy of Chris Kyle, the deadliest sniper in American history,” Washington Post, 30 July 2014:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/morning-mix/wp/2014/07/30/the-complicated-but-unveriable-legacy-of-chris-kyle-the-deadliest-sniper-in-american-history/

“…He and another sniper traveled to New Orleans, set up on top of the Superdome, and proceed to shoot dozens of armed residents who were contributing to the chaos.” The magazine said one conversation participant said Kyle “claimed to have shot thirty men on his own,” while another said Kyle and the other killed 30 between them.

Of course, they primarily mean black people trying to eat.

This was not a lone wolf shooter but rather the employee of an organization that engages in drug running, mass murder and surveillance, torture, protecting corporations who fund terrorism, assassinating and making political prisoners of journalists, and has lied about every one of these things.

What’s Jared Got to do With Iraq?

Pretty much nothing. If there’s a lesson to take from the Jared situation, it is probably that power tends to corrupt. People start indulging their worst aspects when they think that they can get away with it. This applies to pretty much anyone with even a modicum of power. But it did remind me of a few things.

Before I get going on a tour of the covert horror show, why is what I’m going to cover important?

1} Barrett Brown would be covering something like this, and in a much better manner, were he not a political prisoner. That is what he is, stop making excuses for a giant machine filled with spooks who know how to manipulate people and the media.

2} We have another Bush running for POTUS. Really, are we not able to get enough after the Saving & Loan Scandal from 41 and the near complete financial meltdown from 43? Oh, right, it actually made a few people even wealthier, so screw the 99%. Banksters rule.

3} It involves indirectly another political prisoner, Matt DeHart.

4} We cannot seem to, in general, grasp that we have a few million spooks in this country alone, many of them in the private sector, and that there just isn’t enough for them to do in the category of things we actually expect them to do. Therefore, they cook up other things and provide illegal services to Wall Street and petty, vengeful, greedy politicians.

But it did remind me of UN weapons inspector Scott Ritter. I detailed what happened to two other NJSF interns, and what someone tried to do to me, in Wicked Game chapter 4 as well as what happened to Ritter and how it may relate to MKUTLRA subproject #109, Pharmacological Age. The chapter is long, but the Ritter section is at the end of the chapter, just before the notes.

What is the broader picture here? For that, we may have to look at the context.

First, there was the ‘Downing Plan.’ This was the result of a discussion between US and UK officials on how to garner support–and a legal basis–for invading Iraq. It included discussion of a false-flag-ish operation in which Iraq would be tricked into shooting down a plane upon which ‘UN’ would be painted on the side. While UK representatives opposed this proposal from their American cousins, one thing became clear: the Neoconservatives were very concerned with being prosecuted for war crimes. They wanted a solid legal basis for invading Iraq.

Note also that Ritter rejected the advances of Achmed Chalabi. Chalabi was the Pentagon’s favorite for replacing Saddam Hussein, a noted con artist and criminal, as well as very probably a double or triple agent working for Iran. Another thing that people don’t seem to grasp, many Joint Chiefs love instability because it provides opportunities for future military industrial complex profits down the road. They don’t want peace when they can fill their pockets forever on Permawar.

CIA to the neocons’ rescue. And on more than one occasion in all likelihood. Besides the character assassination against Scott Ritter, who as I noted in the chapter was literally explaining away the Bush administration’s WMD lies on CNN only to be cut off mid-sentence in order to go to Condaleeza Rice stating the exact opposite, there was Amerithrax. Jim Woolsey in particular. Jim Woolsey of later Booz Allen Hamilton, who also makes a couple of appearances in Wicked Game.

It appears that FBI investigated why CIA was attempting to frame Iraq for the Amerithrax attacks. An alleged document indicating the existence of this investigation was what Matt DeHart allegedly received from a member of Anonymous.

This should come as little surprise as FBI was investigating a lot of people who, not shitting you here, they thought were secret Muslims. This issued from politicians having ties to organizations that FBI thought also supported terrorism.

Of course Matt is up on charges completely unrelated to the investigation and instead something closer to what they got Ritter for. This is common tactic, even when the charges have no basis in reality, in order to dissuade support and to scare people about entering jail at all and therefore making them easier to coerce. See that chapter 4 again for field testing on American’s by the US government during and after the Bush 41 administration.

There are so many examples of kiddie porn among government employees, and so very few that resulted in prosecution and in some cases even firing, that one could only look at the Catholic Church or the British Government for a more corrupt system of cover-up. While I don’t want to see a theocracy, the Obama administration keeps making the case for some kind of morality within government. I swear, that man is the Koch’s best friend and a staunch GOPer when it comes to what he actually does as opposed to what he says.

History repeats itself again and again. Maybe it isn’t so much a flat circle as an ashtray.

What the Sony Hack Really Means {Updated x2}

This Sony hack bullshit is a false flag operation, one way or another. Whether China or Russia perpetrated it {it was sophisticated and required resources that North Korea likely doesn’t have} as payback for NSA intrusions, or the NSA or a subcontractor spoofed the IPs, it is pure bullshit. That it actually has promoted, rather than really hurt, in the longrun a film that, like Zero Dark Thirty and torture, glorifies assassination, tells you immediately that it’s the brainchild of Langley with the loving approval of President Barack Cheney.

Update:

Yep.

Boot, William, “Exclusive: Sony Emails Say State Department Blessed Kim Jong-Un Assassination in ‘The Interview’,” 17 December 2014:

http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/12/17/exclusive-sony-emails-allege-u-s-govt-official-ok-d-controversial-ending-to-the-interview.html

It’s all about glorifying war, and look who has jumped on the bandwagon.

Fleming Jr., Mike, “Hollywood Cowardice: George Clooney Explains Why Sony Stood Alone In North Korean Cyberterror Attack,” MSN, 19 December 2014:

http://www.msn.com/en-us/movies/news/hollywood-cowardice-george-clooney-explains-why-sony-stood-alone-in-north-korean-cyberterror-attack/ar-BBgYNgR

The free speech point is of course not lost on me. And, yes, you should be able to make whatever movie you like. But George knows good and goddam well what happens when you do. Good to know CIA made George their bitch after all, as they have with Obama. All for nothing, what a goddamned surprise.

Update 2, part 1:

Rappaport, Jon, “Newsflash: George Clooney doesn’t know N. Korea hacked Sony — What? George Clooney knows N. Korea hacked Sony? Really?,” 20 December 2014:

http://jonrappoport.wordpress.com/2014/12/20/newsflash-george-clooney-doesnt-know-n-korea-hacked-sony/

This is the routine, over and over again with stars.

“Listen, GMO farming will save Africa. We have the data. Forget the crazies running around saying Monsanto is Satan. We’ve done the studies. This is Science.”

“We had nothing to do with the mess in the Ukraine. I promise you. That’s Russian propaganda.”

“Don’t believe the people who say we’re funding terrorists. That’s crap.”

After all, we slap banks who fund terrorists and launder drug money on the wrist with a wet noodle. We must be the good guys.

Pearson, James, “Forget the politics, Sony executives say North Korea comedy ‘desperately unfunny’,” Reuters, 19 December 2014:

mobile.reuters.com/article/idUSKBN0JX0B020141219?irpc=932

Perfect reason to seek help from those who approved and co-funded the piece of shit.

Of course the alternate explanation involves “hackers bad,” just at the point the Department of Schmustice delayed once again an already agreed to sentencing plea deal with Barrett Brown. The Obama administration is seeking to scare the pants off of Judge Lindsey at the same time they are promoting American exceptionalism in forcing food up anuses, murdering reporters with hacked car EPROMs, and blowing brown children apart with drones.

Update 2, part 2:

Undercoverinfo, “Barrett Brown: why his sentencing hearing was sabotaged; his case should now be thrown out,” 19 December 2014:

undercoverinfo.wordpress.com/2014/12/19/barrett-brown-why-his-sentencing-hearing-was-sabotaged-his-case-should-now-be-thrown-out/

On Tuesday the sentencing of Barrett Brown, a US journalist, was delayed for a second time and postponed until January 22 of next year. At the hearing the prosecution dramatically presented 500 pages of new evidence, seemingly unrelated to the charges to which Brown was awaiting sentencing. The only explanation for this is that it was a clumsy attempt by the prosecution to provide the judge with a basis for awarding a maximum sentence at the January hearing.

And so, coupled with knocking the Torture Report off of the front page, this begins to look like another 3D chess move to preserve CIA’s ass-stuffing, broken-bottle-raping, hide.

So let’s fix some of that.

Leopold, Jason, “The Weird Saga of the Other ‘Smoking Gun’ Torture Report the CIA Still Has Under Wraps,” VICE, 18 December 2014:

https://news.vice.com/article/the-weird-saga-of-the-other-smoking-gun-torture-report-the-cia-still-has-under-wraps

But last week, outgoing Senator Mark Udall of Colorado, in his final speech on the Senate floor and in the wake of the release of the Senate Intelligence Committee’s executive summary of the so called torture report, discussed the document at length. Udall called the still-secret CIA report — dubbed the Panetta Review after former CIA Director Leon Panetta — a “smoking gun.”

And:

Kaye, Jeff, “Torture program linked to discredited, illegal CIA techniques,” AJAM, 18 December 2014:

http://america.aljazeera.com/blogs/scrutineer/2014/12/18/torture-mitchelljessenmkultra.html

Any suggestion of the drugging of prisoners in the post-9/11 era could be explosive. The application of “mind-altering substances or other procedures calculated to disrupt profoundly the senses or the personality” is a serious violation of federal law, with convictions bringing sentences up to 20 years in prison.

Still, details and language in the SSIC report could be seen to be pointing in that direction.

Allegations of the use of pharmacological agents against detainees exist in the summary. Authors of the SSCI report cite repeated statements by “high-value” prisoner Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri that his CIA captors drugged him. The report does not comment further on this issue, though at least one other prisoner is described as being “sedated” at one point.

Wow, 20 years. Hm.

It is not about protecting you in your goddam rented trailer. It’s about treating generals and admirals like the demigods they know that they are. It’s about shoving Dick Cheney’s friends so much money that they can buy whoever gets elected in 2016 {they already have}. It’s about working our way up to murdering as many dark skinned people, gays, atheists, activists, and freethinkers as possible under the guise of “we gotta do something about climate change.” This excuse is belied by the fact that the US Department of Defense is the world’s largest polluter. No, that’s really about expanding the defense and intelligence markets domestically because that also helped to buy Congress, just as it did during Vietnam.

More:

Sirota, David, “Forgetting the Past, One Military Movie at a Time,” TruthOut, 26 February 2012:

http://www.truth-out.org/opinion/item/6870:forgetting-the-past-one-military-movie-at-a-time

The scheme is simple: The Pentagon allows studios to use military hardware and bases at a discounted, taxpayer-subsidized rate.

In exchange, filmmakers must submit their scripts to the Pentagon for line edits. Not surprisingly, those edits often redact criticism of military policy, revise depictions of historical failures, and generally omit anything else that might make audiences wonder if our current defense policy is repeating past mistakes.

In contrast to Obama’s murderous romp, Angelina Jolie made a war movie about forgiveness. Like Kill the Messenger, it’s not getting the attention it deserves. In her case, it was because she became ill:

Gates, Daniel, “Angelina Jolie Has Chicken Pox, Forced to Cancel ‘Unbroken’ Appearances,” MSN, 13 December 2014:

http://www.msn.com/en-us/movies/celebrity/angelina-jolie-has-chicken-pox-forced-to-cancel-unbroken-appearances/ar-BBgIrOT

The film is about a former POW who, in 1950, went back to Japan and testified about the atrocities committed in the prison camp while he was there. He met again many of the prison guards and the Colonel in charge of the camp and told them he forgave them. Of course, this “Christian” nation, whether you mean the Mormons in CIA, the Catholics in DoD, or whatever the hell people like Obama and Hillary and their cousins W and Jeb really are, don’t want to hear about healing and an end to conflict. Money is far more important to all of these groups because that’s just how they measure “God’s love.” Of course the Hollywood version toned down the Jesus stuff some. And of course what has upset televangelists is that, so they get to dismiss the peace, love, forgiveness parts.

This is a thoroughly screwed up chunk of Earth.

Even the War Nerd gets it. I don’t care, this is newsworthy. Again, you can see why they are so frustrated. That is, if you still give the slightest shit about human beings. Our government and its West Coast propaganda machine clearly do not.

Brecher, Gary, “The War Nerd: More proof the US defense industry has nothing to do with defending America,” Pando Daily, 18 December 2014:

pando.com/2014/12/18/the-war-nerd-more-proof-the-us-defense-industry-has-nothing-to-do-with-defending-america/

It makes no sense. I’ll just say that right up front. The reason it doesn’t seem to make any sense is that it doesn’t. There are no secret reasons here, no top-security considerations that justify any of this. It’s corruption, pure and simple. The sooner you understand that the US defense industry has nothing at all to do with defending America, and everything to do with making Dick Cheney’s buddies even richer, the more quickly you’ll be able to understand what’s going on.

And the reason they found it inappropriate is as simple as a liquor store holdup: money. …

Nothing will get done. No one will go to jail for any of this filth. You can get 15 years for robbing a 7-11, but the filth in the three-letter agencies, the service procurement officers who slip into comfy industry jobs between administrations, the corrupt project managers socking it away on an aircraft they know is worthless; not one of those pigs will do a day in prison for any of it.

It’s not that Obama has been disappointing as an antiwar progressive. It’s that he’s been consistently disappointing as any kind of antiwar president, the reason he was elected in the first place.

Revelations

You may have already read the latest Intercept piece by Glenn Greenwald. In case you haven’t:

Firstlook/The Intercept, “Hacking Online Polls and Other Ways British Spies Seek to Control the Internet,” Glenn Greenwald, 14 July 2014:

firstlook.org/theintercept/2014/07/14/manipulating-online-polls-ways-british-spies-seek-control-internet/

You might note a few things. First, some of these tools line up rather well with the Department of Defense’s MINERVA mass manipulation programs:

• “Change outcome of online polls” (UNDERPASS)

• “Mass delivery of email messaging to support an Information Operations campaign” (BADGER) and “mass delivery of SMS messages to support an Information Operations campaign” (WARPARTH)

• “Disruption of video-based websites hosting extremist content through concerted target discovery and content removal.” (SILVERLORD)

• “Ability to artificially increase traffic to a website” (GATEWAY) and “ability to inflate page views on websites” (SLIPSTREAM)

• “Targeted Denial Of Service against Web Servers” (PREDATORS FACE) and “Distributed denial of service using P2P. Built by ICTR, deployed by JTRIG” (ROLLING THUNDER)

All directed at altering perception of opinions and control of information for basically the same thing.

Then there’s the “This Time It’s Personal” portions:

• “Active skype capability. Provision of real time call records (SkypeOut and SkypetoSkype) and bidirectional instant messaging. Also contact lists.” (MINIATURE HERO)

• “A tool that will permanently disable a target’s account on their computer” (ANGRY PIRATE)

That sounds familiar. 6 December 2009:

20091206 Adsense Rejection02

The language in question was of course English. Guessing they were referring to Farsi, since my Apple account default language was switched to that and someone texting my pickpocketed phone got a response in that language.

Then, just before the ex getting married, the 9-1-1 call, the leaving Minneapolis:

20111004_Eli Schneider

An email BCCing me from a fictional character I made up who then proceeded to create a Skype account:

20111005_Skype_eli.schneider2_b

And a second one:

20111005_Skype_eli.schneider5_c

Resulting in the email address getting its password changed and me losing access to it:

WWTFFMAIL Hack01

The point being, 1st Amendment just doesn’t mean squat here. Conspiracy Against Rights plus absolutely unhelpful DoJ = justice delayed, justice denied, plus heaps and heaps of injustice thrown in to remind you just in case your brain started telling you it was an accident or misunderstanding.

Not exactly the same method, but I’ve lost access to email accounts due to loss of phones, whether that be the pickpocketing before the Squidgate trial or the mugging before the Jeremy Hammond sentencing hearing. The latest similar issue is my reduced Twitter effectiveness due to a sudden loss of balance while standing next to a swimming pool just a few days ago.

But here’s my favorite for a number of reasons. One, they have been using this to convince politicians that their constituencies hold opinions other than the ones that they hold. How do I know? I wrote about this:

• “Ability to spoof any email address and send email under that identity” (CHANGELING)

in Wicked Game last year.

If you’re still so brainwashed as to think this is about radical Islam, the Russians or the Chinese, I suggest you also take a gander at what 32-year NSA veteran William Binney had to say on the subject. Really, you can just read the headline because in this case they didn’t pull punches and bury the lede.

The Guardian, “The ultimate goal of the NSA is total population control: At least 80% of all audio calls, not just metadata, are recorded and stored in the US, says whistleblower William Binney – that’s a ‘totalitarian mentality’,” Antony Loewenstein, 10 July 2014:

theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/jul/11/the-ultimate-goal-of-the-nsa-is-total-population-control

Which I will add is exactly what all the rest of this stuff I’ve been talking about concerns with the exception of the self-dealing stuff. Speaking of which:

Common Dreams, “Members of Congress Declare ‘Immunity’ from Insider Trading Probe: House panel refuses to submit to SEC subpoenas,” Nadia Prupis, 7 July 2014:

commondreams.org/headline/2014/07/07-4

Which you will also find in Wicked Game. Recall that one of the things that extended the War in Vietnam was the fact that so many members of Congress were making money off of it. For example, some owned the ships that delivered ammunition.

Then recall that Eisenhower warned of this very thing occurring, that war had been so lucrative for a few that later, it follows, wars may be fought simply on the basis of making more money for those same groups of folks and their offspring.

Then came the days of COINTELPRO, MINARET, MKULTRA, etc. Not only was there rampant abuses of power for “going overboard on fear,” but there were members of Congress and people in the White House using intelligence agencies for their personal agendas.

Insider trading? NSA knows all, sees all, records all and, as Snowden proved, leaves it laying around for contractors to come grab and walk out with any time they please. Information for any use, from political hitlists, to swaying elections, to financial gain, to the bizarre cultish end-of-world-looney-tunes stuff. *

But is the lack of oversight in Congress due to the rapid growth? Or just that things are going so well on a personal basis with a massive Stasi state for a select few who have abandoned any desire to serve those who elected them? I think the latter. That’s the Deep State.

* This last, sadly, is not only true but coming your way very soon. We have all been of the opinion that it is impossible to be powerful, extremely wealthy, and completely fricking insane. Alas, this is not true. I have no advice apart from start seeing it. Not everyone is rational and sane, therefore you can’t really emulate their thinking being so.

The End is Why

(Like a mother’s eye…)

NASA has apparently jumped on the end of days bandwagon in a big way.

DailyKos, “NASA: Civilization Headed Toward Collapse,” Don Mikulecky, 17 March 2014:

dailykos.com/story/2014/03/16/1285204/-NASA-Civilization-headed-for-collapse

This, like the propaganda and innuendo surrounding Russia, presents a problem. Is it accurate? At all? If so, then does it adequately explain the bizarre and paranoid behavior of the US and other governments?

I lean toward no. Here’s why.

1} Seems clear to me that CIA shills and organizations like ALEC have their little stony hearts set on societal breakdown. They perpetuate conspiracy theories and law enactments that encourage and perpetuate neighbor vs. neighbor distrust. This serves several uses. First, as the chaos increases then the excuses for draconian surveillance and all around suspension of homo sapien personhood do as well. The increase of corporate personhood, however, belies any hidden benevolence: they are without a doubt intending to increase agitation of people and confuse them as to the cause–and therefore the remedy–for the source of the unrest. This is not a new idea, and there’s a useful quote about the revolution eating itself. Many do. Then there’s the fact that this is just old CIA and COINTELPRO style tactics used on a larger scale. Shouldn’t there instead be a primary focus on singular national identity if the purpose is to pull together to overcome some future hardships? One could argue, I suppose, that fascism and that kind of cohesion is better done around being a heterosexual WASP, but that it would simultaneously benefit some powerful business interests calls sincerity into question. That’s the bottom line with the military industrial complex and Deep State, isn’t it? Are we better off as a whole with them or without them? I think there’s a good case to be made for without, and only a case for with if, as we see again, there’s just such a pressing need to be the global bastards that we’ve become. Overall, it seems like every other excuse we’ve seen for excesses: Red Scare, War on Drugs, Islamophobia, etc. But that may be the larger point I’ll get to below.

2} As I’ve noted before, there was a DoD doomsday report leaked in 2004 or so that indicated all sorts of horrific happenings just around the corner. It gave a nice self-contained excuse for action: that we could already be years into “the end” and not even realize it. Detractors of conspiracy theorists generally consider that kind of statement to be part of the self-contained latticework of a set of delusional beliefs. That is, the lack of evidence that the end is nigh does not indicate that it isn’t. Note that Denmark has yet to sink underwater. That was one item the report suggested. I suggest it was a conservative think tank looking for new “value added” services to provide by scaring us.

3} Similarly, there was the 2001 National Intelligence Estimate that stated that the growing gap between the rich and the poor, and not radical Islam, was the largest threat to US security. The report came out in November of 2001 and as you can imagine, that notion wasn’t getting much attention at that point in time. Instead, we got the unmanageable growth of Top Secret America, the Deep State. We have so many spies. Almost 1 million people have Secret clearances and one-quarter have Top Secret in the private sector alone. That neither Washington in terms of budget nor Wall Street in terms of stock value want to ever accept the perhaps natural occurrence of decreases again argues for deception, not a hidden agenda that takes into account the future of the average citizen.

4} As I’ve also mentioned before, referred to as sociological judo, the idea of taking something like climate change and turning it into an excuse for fascism, cruelty, the end of democracy as we know it, is right up the alley of cheap labor enthusiasts. Maybe the discrepancy isn’t about having “earned” it; maybe a lot of people are just underpaid. See? It doesn’t have to have Communism as a solution, does it? Just pay more commensurate with a healthy economy that requires cash flow. But that’s what they call any effort to fix that because it works.

In the final analysis, when you deceive, betray, spy on, abuse, etc. your own population, you decrease–not increase–your reverent power. Once you’ve lied to the American people in the face about surveillance, why should we believe you on global threats, especially when there’s such a great Wall Street incentive where scaring everyone is concerned? Why should we believe in some secret good intentions when reporters are murdered and jailed because they got us to the truth where top-ranking military and public/private intel industry is concerned? Why should we believe the ends justify the means, when the ends appear to involve bankrupting and destroying the Middle Class? If you can’t be believed and trusted, how can you pursuade people into your way of thinking?

How the f— does this stuff justify what was done/is being done to me and others? It just doesn’t add up unless at least part of it is a lie.

Is climate change real and does it pose a threat to mankind? I think so. But then why are we only preparing for war and not that in meaningful ways? Yes, food shortage could be construed as a step towards preparing, and therefore the wholesale pardoning, of Monsanto. But there’s the profit motive again, and wouldn’t it have made more sense to have provided incentives toward creating more private farms, so that a} you don’t have all eggs in one basket and, b} you don’t encourage monopolistic manipulation of the food sector? Especially if there’s an upcoming shortage?

I have to lean toward there being something to a looming major issue, but at the same time a self-dealing distortion of it, a possible exaggeration for “personal”/corporate gain. This is one major problem and failure of the CIA and the intel community as a whole. Fixing intel around business interests instead of the cold, hard, analytical truth means that we can’t see clearly. We don’t know what kinds of actual threats there are because we’ve been exaggerating and manufacturing them. The torture program is a prime example. You don’t think you’d confess to whatever they asked you to with your hand in boiling liquid? That was the whole point of doing it, to create faulty intel that served the Deep State. They cannot now be taken at their word because they’ve already deceivied us so much, so often.

Fear is the post-9/11 commercial motivator. It works too well for it to be laid aside by those who use it as a tool and those who benefit most don’t live in caves in Afghanistan. Are they goosestepping us all towards a self-fulfilling prophecy? Perhaps most telling is how they’re all collecting greenbacks instead of building bomb shelters and hoarding food.

Dear Muslims

We, the United States of America, have a bone to pick with you. Why can’t you see that we’re the good guys? We’ve been trying so hard to get your attention and make sure that you understand this, but you keep ignoring it.

We try to get your attention at weddings, funerals, cafes, etc. but for some reason you just don’t see how altruistic and benevolent we are.

We come to your countries to free you but for some reason you don’t see how we’ve got a long history of helping you.

In Defense of Monsanto

(Not really, but you’ll see what I mean.)

“A person should not believe in an -ism, he should believe in himself.” –Ferris Bueller

If you’ve read much at all of this blog then you know what I know. Most of what we are seeing is because of population. The 1% of the top 1% are afraid. They’re afraid of what a significant portion of the rest of the world is going to do as scarcity, like climate change, becomes impossible to hide any more.

They are of course not alone. You’ve got a sizable portion of the planet who thinks that these are the end days. There is every conceivable conspiracy theory as to which group is responsible and why.

One of those problems then, is what to do when food becomes scarce. One of (or the only?) tangibly offered solutions is to make it cheap and in bulk. Enter Monsanto. Further, the connections to the Defense industry (as, for example, manufacturer of agent orange) further puts what they have to say at the front of the line. Humans are good at killing other humans. They are good at telling stories about saving other humans. They are not so good at making those stories a reality.

Who is offering alternatives? Who could offer alternatives? Someone really smart, I suppose.

Our last three presidents all have IQs in the 140s (yes, even that one. While I’d be one to lean toward cheating as well, watch the speech segment in Farenheit 9/11 given to what he calls his base. Largely an act that draws fire and ire from the left without actually getting to the root of the neocon policies drawinf upon his strength as an entertainer and class clown. Brilliant Peter Sellers impression really). When I’m at my best, mine scores in that range as well (sometimes down in the 130s).

But someone with a 168? Scary to most of us. Practically alien in terms of thought to most of us. Undoubtedly an incredible memory accompanies a brain like that and already has some dazzling ideas that are in reality practical.

But that person is also viewed as a threat by those who have already made up their minds (largely because they view his message as “give up all your money”; they didn’t listen to the big J, why would they listen to a little J?). In order to avoid some of what they believe are future uprisings, they will offer free/cheap food that, while not the healthiest, is viewed as better than nothing at all, providing pacification (it’ll likely also be drugged) and at least the appearance of helping. The point of modifying the food is to make it grow faster, better, etc. There is always a trade off when you do that, in this case illness-causing side-effects. Takes humans 10,000 years to adapt to major changes in diets.

But the point is twofold: why we need people that smart out of prison and working on big problems and why he cannot be allowed to be a slave to the intelligence community. We are slitting our own throats by allowing either.

I’m a capitalist, believe it or not. But I also believe in something approaching equilibrium, checks and balances. That’s what this country was founded on and it is currently very, very imbalanced.
