Donald: Right for the Wrong Reasons

Like a broken clock twice a day…

Because somebody needs to sort this shit out. Also, I feel the need to clarify my reasons and separate them from Donald for disliking the US intelligence community.

First, Trump’s bashing of the CIA is disingenuous. One of his supporters is Peter Thiel, founder of Palantir, a private intelligence contractor, who wants to privatize the intelligence community. Second, of course, is Trump’s ties to Putin and Russia.

But this is in a very real sense a sad joke. The United States of America is nothing of the sort. It is a boundary inside which public-funded mercenaries with labels like the Department of Defense and Triple Canopy go about doing the dirty work for multinational corporations. That is all that it is. Notions of patriotism only appeal to a criminally ignorant public and brainwashed jarheads who think they serve a country instead of the corporate interests that they actually serve. This includes running and coordinating the world’s drug trade for foreign investors, such as can be seen in Honduras where Chinese, Japanese, EU and UK investors watch as US military bases support drug trafficking and surrogates {when it’s not direct military strikes and CIA doing it} murder the indigenous population who has been given the bad choices of becoming drug mule slaves or dying as frequent delivery planes take off from the property of a Honduran millionaire.

To say nothing of Afghanistan, where 2014 was the biggest poppy year in the history of the country and the trend continues. Off-the-books black bag ops have no shortage of funding sources today for CIA. Just imagine every intelligence community scandal in the past fifty years on steroids, and you’ll get the idea about what is happening behind the scenes.

Of recent note, Muckrock’s efforts have resulted in many new releases from CIA under FOIA. Of interest, COINTELPRO is now {more officially} known to have been a joint operation between CIA and FBI. This is important so that one can understand that while both agencies supported millionaires and then later billionaires in the past, they are now fully in the multinational corporation camp and consider the American people–and really people in general–to be the enemy.

A quick reference here again to a handful of people who, like myself, claim that behavioral modification means and methods were responsible for their “radicalization.” Of course, the only ones whose names get thrown about in the news are those who shoot people or blow something up. Not only as per the previous post’s Ft. Lauderdale shooter Esteban Santiago but there was both Navy Yard shooter Aaron Alexis and lesser known Myron May {both African-American} who made similar claims. Here’s a reminder what MKULTRA’s true purpose was according to the CIA itself:

MK-ULTRA’s purpose was “research and development of chemical, biological and radiological materials [for use] in clandestine operations to control human behavior.” The CIA hoped the “psychoactive chemicals” would work on the victim’s mind and emotions to “release him from the restraint of self-control.”

That was the 1950’s.

Our current dilemma’s stem from the 2001 National Intelligence Estimate. In it, the intelligence community cited the growing gap between the rich and poor as the US’ biggest 21st Century security threat. Naturally, this meant CIA and FBI would get to take the gloves off and enjoy near complete freedom via twisted legal memos allowing practically anything to be done as long as they follow spirit-of-the-law-illegal-but-letter-of-the-slimy-lawyer-memo-legal protocols. {See The Intercept‘s recent work on FBI’s loosening rules.}

9/11, which was almost certainly engineered the same or similar way as the Santiago, Alexis and May shootings, opened the door for this and the mass privatization which Trump is attempting to increase by destroying public education and privatizing national parks. Both things CIA in its heart of hearts would love to help accomplish. Whether or not there are individuals within any agency that oppose is irrelevant. They follow orders or simply choose to work on a different assignment. It still gets done, just by someone else.

Anyway, this nonsense about the intelligence community going after Trump is about getting the GOP party elites back in charge. It will make nearly no difference to anyone at all except for GOP party elites. They will still continue to use covert operations to attempt to turn public opinion against minorities, as they did with 9/11, the Gary Webb crack cocaine epidemic resulting in the creation of the term “Superpredator,” etc.

All of this underlines another point: Doesn’t seem to matter where you turn. There isn’t anyone in your corner when you’re the little guy. This is bad guys against bad guys. They will resolve it soon and be one big happy evil family.

Note also that CIA was silent when Nixon conspired to wreck US peace talks for election purposes and Americans actually died as a result–not one of those silly Internet scare-tactics, actually happened–so that Humphrey {backed by LBJ} wouldn’t be able to claim peace as a reason to vote for him and the Democrats.

Nor did CIA speak up when Reagan’s people cut a deal with the Iranians to hold American hostages longer for similar reasons against Carter. Another indicator that CIA is as full of shit as it always is and doesn’t care about the average American at all, even when they are in the military or foreign service in embassies. They just have a good narrative this time with the Russians cuz Cold War.

and Red Dawn.

Auf Wiedersehen, Miss American Pie

You might find some solace in the fact that a country with a partial electorate this gullible and people in positions of power this insane and/or manipulative…

Pizzagate

…is going to get what it deserves. But the question came up regarding this prediction when I was discussing it the other night:

Travis Getty, “Here’s How the US Empire Will Devolve Into Fascism and Then Collapse — According to Science,” Raw Story, 7 December 2016:

http://www.rawstory.com/2016/12/heres-how-the-us-empire-will-devolve-into-fascism-and-then-collapse-according-to-science/

[a Norwegian professor at the University of Hawaii and Transcend Peace University, Johan Galtung] predicted in his 2009 book, “The Fall of the American Empire — and then What?” that the U.S. was plagued by 15 internal contradictions that would end its global power by 2020, and Galtung warned that phase of the decline would usher in a period of reactionary fascism.

American fascism would spring from its capacity for global violence, a vision of exceptionalism, a belief in an inevitable and final war between good and evil, the cult of a strong state leading that battle, and a cult of the “strong leader.”

Galtung said all of those elements presented themselves during the Bush era, but he fears fascist tendencies could sharpen under Trump as those cultists lash out in disbelief at the loss of American power.

The sociologist identified unsustainable economic, social, military and political contradictions that would eventually topple the U.S. as a world power.

“What’s going to take its place?”

What indeed?

While a portion of this is nothing new, the point is I had not carried my thinking quite far enough. The point? There are people in government who don’t just want to cripple the federal government; they want to completely destroy it.

They want to set up Ted Cruz’s Dominionist/Seven Mountains kingdom, reflecting more Saudi Arabia than true Sharia Law, though certainly there are elements of legislating the bedroom that would fit with this nutty element’s intrusion upon what occurs between consenting adults. This while ignoring what occurs in the military between a non-consenting adult and a rapist. Since this works in the favor of multinationals who are waiting their turn to run the world, it continues and the loony tunes march toward inverted fascism and/or fascism seems inevitable. Imagine the Saudis controlling the Taliban and you get the idea with the difference being a Western spin with Jesus instead of Mohamed on the war banners.

This is because only a state–and then only a powerful one–could possibly present an obstacle to direct corporate control of the planet.

And that is largely because the intelligence community is just following orders. Nur nach Befehlen. Can you hear me now?

Manufacturing a Myth

Actually been several days since I finally finished watching Making a Murderer. If you have not watched it, you might want to hold off on reading beyond the fold. There are a few spoilers and much McCoyote-style commentary.

Pre-BBD – Skipping to the End

{Note: The title is a bit cryptic. And maybe it has a second or third meaning. I’m not sure, I’m just writing this. Please bear with me anyway. Sometimes you can see the narrative coming, if only roughly, before it unfolds.}

BACKGROUND – NOT QUITE THE USUAL FARE

As folks have probably noticed, I tend to focus on things like shootings and other acts of violence. This is in part because it would seem logical that the possibility of proxy-mass murder may get people to consider that such a problem, should it exist {it does}, is also their problem.

However, on occasion I have focused on other possible uses for “brainhacking” {my preferred term to mind control which sounds cartoony and conveys the idea of a remote control, an image that is not so far as I know at all accurate; there’s also behavioral modification, but that is a mouthful and kind of implies permanence whereas I’m talking a minute here or there}. For example, though if true that there was some outside influence involved it is kind of funny in a sad, sick kind of way, that Clint Eastwood talking to himself at his table on live television at a Romney event might have been the result of brainhacking. A lot of it is about distracting the target, getting them into a mental state where they lose track of what is happening around them.

Not, however, that they are in some alternate personality that has no knowledge or awareness of what else the body gets up to as you might read elsewhere or hear coming from Rosanne regarding MONARCH. {Speaking of whom, though I have many issues with her, it is odd to me how pleasant she can be and her concern for LGBTQA issues is not completely wiped away with her other “issues”}. No, it’s more like daydreaming.

Other personal examples included when, the day after having my iPhone pickpocketed just before planning to leave for Port Huron and the Squidgate trial. When I went to the phone store to report that it was gone, the guy behind the counter…I wouldn’t say was having a brain fart…more like brain constipation. I repeated what happened a few times and waited until he confirmed that it was reported stolen. Months later I got an angry email from a former employer stating that it was still on and in use.

Another funny/not-funny example, after the Squidgate trial, when I was trying to get out of Port Huron and make my way Brooklyn-bound, I forgot my PIN for my debit card. Yeah, despite the Roma man taking all my cash and my iPhone, he left me my cards and ID. Imagine that.

It was probably twenty minutes before I remembered a number I used frequently, probably earlier that day or the day before. Was this just due to normal distraction? Maybe, maybe not.

And then, backing up a few months there was that goofy, dumbfounded look on that NYPD detective who was giving me grief about parking my dogs outside my friend’s deli. Clearly, when he looked at the dogs the second time after giving me lip, he saw something different than what he thought he had seen before entering the store.

So, whatever it is, probably something as simple as a some sort of voice-to-skull device, known to exist because the US Army said so, I am a believer. What its limitations and capabilities are, I don’t really have any idea.

BACKGROUND – THE WESTCOAST BLACKOUT OF 2011

On 8 September 2011, just three days before the tenth anniversary of 9/11, there was a power outage that affected parts of Arizona, California, and nothern Mexico. It turned out, we are told, to be the mistake of an employee compounded by corrections based on inaccurate information by others. In essense, the employee erroneously severed a cable connecting Arizona to California. The techs attempting to fix the problem in some control room flipped a switch thinking they were upping the power to deal with some fault and instead over-powered the only portion of the grid that there were still physically attached to. Something like that anyway. The report is technical and includes some abbreviations and acronyms I’m not familiar with and I don’t really understand quite how power works on that scale anyway.

BACKGROUND – WHAT IS SHORTSELLING?

Shortselling is when you put in buys for a stock “on margin” but you don’t buy them until after you sell them at a higher price, if the price goes down. If the price goes up, the shortseller is stuck paying the difference. If the price goes down, they can make a lot of money quickly because the difference between what they paid after selling it higher is pure profit or nearly so.

Don’t want to take up a bunch of space here on this, but it is worth noting that one of the several CIA officers recommended to the Professional Review Board by others due to negligence on 9/11 and for their role in creating the torture program was embarrassed when airline stocks were shorted on 9/11 from his former trading company {and elsewhere; FBI claims the trades were done in such a way they could not all be traced back and it appears someone left them there after realizing it might attract attention}.

THE POINT

Imagine if you knew that the power company was going to have a bad day or three beforehand. Imagine if you knew because you paid an intelligence contracting company or independent contractor to make sure that that worker made that mistake. That’s pretty much it. You can put in for your puts whenever, wait for the news to hit as something as newsworthy as large swaths of states being without power in one of the hottest weeks of the year would tend to be. Then, you do your stock magic, and, whammo, you’ve got yourself a new small fortune to go with the one you already have. People are without power, you have harmed shareholders and a company, and–who knows?–maybe struck a blow for Big Coal at the same time.

Brainhacking: It’s going to be bigger than ISIS magical online spells that turn the unsuspecting into radical terrorists. Or maybe something like that.

PS – THE TITLE

Yeah, so is there really anything substantial that could be garnered by actually going wherever and finding out first hand? OK, they aren’t coal and do some solar, but still. Think I’d rather live in a Punk House if I didn’t also have an inkling about how that would turn out for someone like me. If you’re going to be a miserable disposable toilet paper non-person for the rest of your foreseeable life anyway, how much does the cage matter?

The History of Slime, or, You’re Next, Sister

As noted below, this is mostly an expansion on the previous post, in this case magnifying power’s practice of demonizing groups for its own selfish ends. We really need to start considering the huge implications of 21st Century COINTELPRO, MHCHAOS and how, when these programs are active, things really are not often what they seem.

BACKGROUND – THE JEWISH CONSPIRACY

Probably the famous/infamous case of maligning an entire group of people is that of anti-Semitism. But where did the “Jewish conspiracy” originate?

From a forgery, a book called The Protocols of the Meetings of the Learned Elders of Zion, first printed in Russia in 1903. Henry Ford printed 500,000 copies in the US in the 1920s and Hitler made it standard in schools starting in 1933 despite having been exposed as a forgery in 1921.

Though anti-Semitism predated the book, it gave anti-Semite groups something to hold up as evidence of evil intent by Jews the world round. This sometimes persists even today.

BACKGROUND – MALIGNING AFRICAN AMERICANS

Though the FOX crowd loves to point out how long ago the Civil War was, etc. the problems associated with racial bigotry continued far later. The best example is, after WWII, both the Veterans Administration and Housing & Urban Development gave white veterans inexpensive housing. African American veterans were denied this and essentially sent to ghettos.

This is where two noxious myths came from. The first, whites pulling themselves up by their own bootstraps when it was really a social program. The other being that war is good for the middle class. It was, in that very narrow sense, only because the wealthy and corporations were taxed at would-blow-Bill-O’Reilly’s-mind levels. This was not just a result of paying down the war debt, but was widely accepted as a way of preventing another Great Depression.

The irony here can be found in both myths. The anti-reparations crowd really doesn’t get that they have benefited from white “reparations” after WWII. The pro-war crowd has disconnected itself from taxation and redistribution of wealth downwards in order to maintain a healthy society.

It only gets worse from there. The reporting of the late Gary Webb, though often maligned also as saying something he didn’t, that is it was an act of racism as well as greed, was probably accurate. We can see the same where Afghanistan and Honduras are concerned. Stealing the heroin from Russia and then increasing the output while running death squads and maintaining military bases after ousting Zelaya makes that pretty clear. Lest you think this is all about the US, it isn’t. Investors in Honduras infrastructure include China, Japan, the UK, and some EU countries.

Given all that, it seems not only likely that it was more kicking of the poor while they’re down, but also much, much larger and systematic than when Webb reported on it. We are not only the real power behind the big drug cartels, we also coddle international banks who launder their money and fund terrorism. This is why so many stories about the minutiae are for many purposes a waste of time to write and read. If you cannot see the big picture, what’s the point of arguing about one or two of a thousand symptoms of the same disease that is power and its tendency to abuse?

This is all about power; not party or philosophy. Purely mercenary and selfish, it is foolhardy to look for power figures who oppose what they clearly all support.

For example, though the Clintons like to brag about getting 1 million people off of welfare, there are several things that do not really indicate that this was necessarily a good thing. Where do the people who cannot eat and cannot find a job wind up? Automation, outsourcing overseas, and productivity, AKA overworking people, mean that there aren’t enough jobs to go around, and due to higher demand, don’t pay enough to rescue the economy from itself.

Then there is support from the private prison industry for Hillary right now. We are the most imprisoned country per capita on the planet. Is it any wonder when there is money to be made that this happened?

The system itself creates situations where the choices are bad and worse. And so lots of people wind up circling the drain and getting labeled as “Superpredators,” a term Hillary Clinton herself used referring to African American teens.

Then you have Barack Obama who, as I stated in the previous post–and this one is really a continuation of that one–released 600 prisoners and didn’t even make a dent in the statistics. We incarcerate more than that in a day.

Identity politics, though less offensive than Trump’s blatant racist remarks or Cruz’ friends’ calls for internment camps for atheists, is in effect the same without the insult added to the injury. At least on the larger scale; I’m quite certain that there are those who work for them engage in the same kind of bigoted language. The assumption that because candidate X is this or that means that they will favor this or that is a false one.

Trump’s comments serve to draw voters to Hillary and drive voters to the GOP at the same time. Dividing us is the goal here, lest half of us show up in the Financial District in Manhattan, the other half on the Mall in DC, demanding a new New Deal.

BACKGROUND – ISLAMOPHOBIA

Horrific education, a favorite thing to get cannibalized in order to shove money instead to places where it seems to wind up in the pockets of politicians, bureaucrats, bankers and brokers, has lead to an unbelievably ignorant public. Most don’t know the simplest things about Islam. How much worse when they don’t even get reminded where Al Qaeda and the Taliban came from?

Surveys also show that people who do not know any Muslims personally are more likely to think they are all violent and prone to terrorism. We can call this the ‘boogeyman’ effect and leave it there, I suppose. In war, and this is a war of a kind, more financial than cultural despite what you would read in right- and leftwing leaning outlets alike, demonizing the other side is part of it. This is where most of it comes from.

But, there is a problem. Though the most recent big news attack {as far as I know, I’m busy writing this right now}, the one in San Bernardino, did involve a couple who were Muslim. And despite stories like this one, where the real motive may have been to rob a train {something so-called fiscal conservatives and war hawks alike can understand and get behind: Piracy}, it’s the meme, the image that sticks with most people. Think of it this way:

“News said another shooting was done by a Muslim or a black. Lesson: Avoid Muslims and blacks.”

We are a pattern-matching-for-survival species, and that is what happens in the heads of many people. The nuances, the root problems, the specifics, don’t matter to them. Simpler to avoid and either allow, or push, leaders to spy on all these people and limit their freedoms. Never mind the specifics indicate that it doesn’t help, that these WASPs are also included in these dragnets, and that the potential for financial, personal and political abuse is not only likely but already reported on in some instances.

THE POINT – ADDING LGBTQA TO THE HITLIST

While my story is complicated in many ways, the bottom line is they hoped, and still hope, to push me to violence in order to both silence me on being a witness to illegal activities and to start building the same kind of “forgery” that implicates gays in the same way that they have done to African Americans and Muslims. That’s it.

And despite what you might see on the cover of OUT magazine’s anniversary issue {could you imagine putting Reagan, who appointed one SSM justice, or Cheney, who supported SSM before Obama and Clinton, on that cover?}, Barack Obama and the people who work for him were all on board with that. Clearly. It is impossible that it could be otherwise. See either Wicked Game or my IAMA on Reddit for more on that.

This is why I say we cannot afford to elect another Republican {nor stealth-GOP Libertarians} nor Democrat {nor “Independent” Bernie Sanders who counts FBI and CIA, with two of the worst civil and human rights records in US history as social programs} to be elected.

That leaves Green Party for me. As far as voting goes, the only hope I see–and it will not be a panacea by any means–is to get third parties their 10% of the vote in order to start breaking the stranglehold that the two thoroughly corrupt parties and their false choices present.

The political spectrum looks like this:

+++G+++Ctr+++++DR

Where, wedged just between the D and R, is Hitler. They’ve so filled our heads with left-dread, that we now see anything near the center, much less to the left of it and less far than these two are to the very far right, as some terrifying thing that must be avoided.

I’m terrified now, aren’t you? And they’ve had it all for a long time. We can do better, but only if we get desperate enough to stop choosing the lesser perceived weasel.

Deep State, Deep Shit: The US’ Cold War at Home

PREFACE – Who am I addressing?

Some folks may wonder why I don’t spend more time and energy talking at or railing about the Republican party. It is because I think they are utterly unreachable, so far gone off the cliff that there is no hope whatsoever of reasoning with or instilling reason into their leadership.

For example, the GOP, and it’s sometimes controlled/sometimes renegade splinter group the Tea Party, spend a lot of time railing about the strawman “Sharia law” being enacted on US soil. While being an incredibly stupid thing to believe on the one hand, it seems pretty clear that people like Ted Cruz want something exactly like that, or more accurately, what the House of Saud has: a theocratic monarchy in which everything and everyone is “owned” by the monarchs. This is called Dominionism in the US, and is some Zionish perversion of Christianity. Cruz literally thinks it is his destiny to become King of America. God wants him to steal all your shit. It is precisely what they spend so much time railing against “over there” that they typically want to do here.

And Trump has helped to bring their blatant disregard for human beings out into the open. Nothing stealth about it anymore.

Related to the anti-LGBT and anti-women’s choice, one can imagine horrifying scenarios in which corporate mercenaries round up people our new self-appointed Second Coming deems deserving of that. It makes for a great “scarrative.”

But…

But the Democrats and Barack Obama signed off on the NDAA that allows DoD to hold indefinitely without evidence or legal procedures anyone, including US citizens, on suspicion of terrorism. The historical track record of such legislation always goes one way: More abuse than actual security.

But also…

Note how the end result is the same, but the packaging is different. Do you see that? The Democrats won’t publicly call you faggot or baby-murderer, and may not even be that discerning about who they lock up. But your odds of being caught up in the dragnets that insane politicians and bureaucrats, along with their friends in the public sector, deem needing locking up, will be locked up.

And at the same time…

The rhetoric of the Democrats is different. The policies are not in that they all seek to cheapen human life and rights for personal financial and power gain.

EXAMPLES

Robert L. Dear, Jr.

The New York Times has mostly surprised me, and Washington Post has somewhat followed up on Dear’s background. He does, actually, seem to be the Joe Dirt version of Ted Cruz. Seems to be, anyway. I assume this requires little explanation. Dear on the one hand frequently used religion as a weapon and as a defense for his actions. He had many online indicators of this over the years.

Richard Fausset, “For Robert Dear, Religion and Rage Before Planned Parenthood Attack,” New York Times, 1 December 2015:

nytimes.com/2015/12/02/us/robert-dear-planned-parenthood-shooting.html

But “the Left…”

First we had the interrupted planned attack at the University of Chicago. In this case, it was an African American who was upset about the murder of one or more African American teens. Understandably upset, but, had he succeeded, would merely have worked against, not for, what he hoped to achieve. At least I think so.

Michelle Broder Van Dyke and Tasneem Nashrulla, “Man Allegedly Threatened To “Execute” White Students At University Of Chicago: In an online threat that prompted the university to close on Monday, federal prosecutors allege the 21-year-old suspect also threatened to kill “any number of white policemen” who responded,” BuzzFeed, 29 November 2015:

buzzfeed.com/mbvd/university-of-chicago-cancels-classes-in-response-to-fbi-war

Second…now please stop reacting emotionally for a moment, hold the kneejerk outrage, and ONLY consider what this story implies to your average white person lacking critical thinking skills.

Joanna Walters, “Fetal abduction: brutal attacks against expectant mothers on the rise in US: Experts fear easy access to news and information online has contributed to rise of the crime, in which perpetrators seek to claim others’ fetuses as their own,” Guardian, 2 December 2015:

theguardian.com/us-news/2015/dec/02/fetal-abduction-attacks-expectant-mothers

What are the memes? The images one is left with? And what effect could that have on people on the fence? Do people generally go by statistics, or anecdotal evidence when making decisions?

I think it is obvious. If you are trying to win hearts and minds about reproductive rights or refuting Trump’s black-on-black crime statements, this story also does not help.

NOW FOR THE REALLY HARD PART

What if I told you–open mind, please–any of those three stories above could have been due to pushing people who already had similar beliefs, but not necessarily to the point that they would act on them in these violent ways–over the edge? You probably are turning me off right now. You are probably assuming it is not possible, that this suggestion is crazy.

Hold the phone, please. Research is showing that, for example, when we are distracted, words like “bye-bye” can actually result in more “buy-buy.” Yeah. When we are not alert to what is going into our heads, stuff can get in there that we would just as soon did not when we get our bank or credit card statement.

Derick F. Davis and Paul M. Herr, “When bye bye becomes buy buy: How homophones affect consumer behavior,” ScienceDaily, 20 November 2013:

sciencedaily.com/releases/2013/11/131120081102.htm

How much more so then, when we aren’t even aware–despite it being confirmed by both the Federation of American Scientists and the Department of Defense–that has been possible for decades to send subliminal messages in one direction, from the device to a human being, without the need for implants or any of that typical “tinfoil hat” stuff. It’s right there, in print, in FOIA.

It’s actually not that complicated and might just be this simple:

https://mccoyote.wordpress.com/v2k/

And DoD clearly reacted to growing pressure and knowledge that this technology and underlying scientific principle {simply put, the Frey effect}, exists and works. They took down the V2K definition from their website and later issued two info memos on the same day circumventing accountability for abuse in both.

Step back. Step outside yourself. Look at the larger picture. What is the result of these three stories?

Voting for Hillary or Cruz. Radicalizing the parties and mobilizing the respective bases in order to ensure these two very similar choices appear lightyears distant from each other, even though they both serve big banks and other multinationals.

You can even disregard–but do so at you peril–the possibility that covert operations were involved in any of those three stories and still see that these kinds of stories get exploited by political opportunists. The implied message is that they really care about the underlying issues when, in reality, it is far more clear that they care more about helping themselves and their rich and powerful pals at the expense of everyone else.

Is the end of mass incarceration, especially as related to the private prison system and for-profit subcontractors, anywhere in sight? Obama recently released 600 prisoners. The very next day, in my small county alone, they arrested 50+ people in drug raids. It gives the appearance of Democrats fighting back again the crappy drug war and the Republican image of cleaning up the communities, when it is really all about exploiting people, people driven to extremes just to avoid debtor’s prison, home repossessions, and things like bankruptcy due to medical bills.

The older example, again. The Ground Zero Mosque traced back to the CIA and FBI. Thought the reporter considers this a GOP operation, I rather see it as both GOP and DNC. Antiwar people, like myself–and I worked on the project briefly in late 2009–would also likely be mobilized to fight for the group’s right to build it. But it was really about 2008 and 2010 elections, not the issue that it appeared to be. It was there to manipulate people, not help one single goddamn thing.

Matthew Phelan, “The Ground Zero Mosque Was an Inside Job,” Gawker, 11 September 2014:

blackbag.gawker.com/the-ground-zero-mosque-was-an-inside-job-1633321283

And that is what politics here have come to. Professional wrestling or football, where no matter who “wins,” the rest of us all lose.

NO ONE ELSE TO SAY IT, WISH THERE WERE

I know. I know because both of these shit parties wanted to add LGBTQ to the hitlist, the watchlist, the “of course they’re terrorists” list by harassing me and ruining my life permanently. The advantages, if you can calm down and think like the psychopaths who think up these plots, are obvious. You can pick off minorities, drive a wedge between them and the general WASP public, as they have largely succeeded in doing with African Americans and Muslims; and, you get to add more justification to your security/spying contracts by writing thinktank white papers making the case for LGBTQetc as security threat by citing instances where you secretly caused the terror attacks you are now citing. Kind of like Dick Cheney quoting himself via Judith Miller except the attacks were “real,” they were just surreptitiously provoked.

What are you to do? Write my {GOP} reps and say, “Hi, I’m gay. Could you help me?” Did it anyway, but that party doesn’t see much interested in civil liberties. Had to find out the same was true with Democrats the hard way.

IN CLOSING

I know rightwing terrorists are far more prevalent than leftwing. I am living, in so far as I can still call myself alive, proof of that. That’s not the point.

The point is that Democrats are just as likely to pull the rug out from under you as Republicans are, all the while smiling in your face and talking a good game for which they don’t lift a solitary goddam finger.

Simply put, we need to focus on ending this Cold War, let the dust settle, to see where things really stand. Our domestic “intelligence assessments” are muddled due to big money, liars, and, yes, covert operations designed to sway public opinion. Isn’t that the umbrella under which all these other problems stand?

Psychopaths who know us better than we know ourselves can manipulate us. Mass surveillance is one part of that and why we should not consider voting for anyone who supports it.

I am a Failed Mass Shooter – Ask Me Anything. -Reddit

Update: I consider it mostly a success. More questions than I expected, most of which are in the Casual version. Didn’t really intend for it to start on 11/11, just kind of worked out that way. Of course the 11/13 Paris attacks made all that more interesting {and quiet}, as did the Obama administration’s attempts to blame the attacks on Snowden {as well as encryption; the attackers used unencrypted texts to communicate} and to compare him {and whistleblower Thomas Drake} to traitors on the one hand and Navy Yard shooter Aaron Alexis on the other. You really should read the Casual IAMA and try to imagine that silent jackhammer {really loud siren} in your head. Then ask yourself who really has motive, the means, and the opportunity to do that. Hacking people is to a large extent an ignored reality, whether it’s happening on an individual or group level. Both do.

Another Update: Also see this uncomfortable video where Tyrone Dew asks former CIA/NSA chief and Chertoff Group co-founder Michael Hayden about nonlethal weapons, Aaron Alexis and Myron May. It seems preposterous, given their use on ousted Honduran President Manuel Zelaya and others, that Hayden doesn’t know more than he lets on.

Compare Hayden’s response with this:

The system will: be portable, require low power, have a controllable radius of coverage, be able to switch from crowd to individual coverage, cause a temporarily incapacitating effect, have a low probability of fatality or permanent injury, cause no damage to property, and have a low probability of affecting friendly personnel.
